Orangefield ISD's $43 Million Bond Is Transforming All Three Campuses — Just in Time for School

Orangefield ISD is opening brand-new facilities across all three campuses when school starts August 12, thanks to a nearly $43 million bond voters approved in 2023. Orangefield Elementary is getting 32 new classrooms and a cafetorium to replace portable buildings that fourth and fifth graders have used for years. The high school gained a new cafetorium, CTE classrooms, and library, while the junior high added science labs and new classrooms. Voters approved an additional $12.9 million bond in May to fund turf fields and expanded parking. Read More
West Orange-Cove CISD Kicks Off the Year with 'One Team, One Beat'

West Orange-Cove CISD staff gathered Monday for the district's annual back-to-school convocation under a new theme — "One Team, One Beat," a nod to Michael Jackson that came straight from the elementary staff. Orange Public Library Wraps Up Summer Reading Program with Annual Carnival

The Orange Public Library capped off the 2026 Summer Reading Program this week with its annual Library Carnival — a celebration for local youth who stayed engaged with reading all summer long. Kids got to redeem "Library Bucks" earned through their reading achievements for games, prizes, and interactive activities. Community sponsors included The ORC, Neches Federal Credit Union, Exceptional Emergency Center, H-E-B, Texas Roadhouse, the Orange County Sheriff's Office, and the Friends of the Orange Public Library.
