Vidor ISD Confirms Scabies Cases, Primarily at Vidor High School

Vidor ISD has confirmed cases of scabies at Vidor High School and is taking action. The district sent a notification district-wide out of an abundance of caution, even though the cases are concentrated at VHS. Additional cleaning and health measures have been put in place across campus. Scabies is a skin condition caused by tiny mites and is treatable — school officials are urging students and families to watch for symptoms and contact a healthcare provider if concerned. Read More

9/11 Pickleball Tournament Honors the Day While Building Community

A local pickleball tournament is turning community spirit into remembrance. The 9/11 Remember and Honor Pickleball Tournament is set for Saturday, September 12, starting at 10:00 a.m. The intermediate and advanced mixed doubles event has limited spots available. SETX Music Jam Brings Two Nights of Live Music to Vidor This Weekend

This weekend, Conn Park in Vidor is the place to be. The SETX Music Jam rolls in Friday, August 28 (6–10 p.m.) and Saturday, August 29 (3–11 p.m.) with two full days of live music, a beer garden, and food vendors. Friday night headliner is L.A. Roxx. Saturday's lineup features Donice Morace, the Ethan Osborne Band, Jake Bush, and Running on Credit. Admission is $10 ($5 with a school ID; kids 3 and under free).
