Orange Depot Museum Now Open for Regular Public Tours
The Orange Depot Museum is officially welcoming the public with regular docent-led tours every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Friends of the Orange Depot are inviting residents, visitors, families, and school groups to step back in time and explore the historic landmark, learning about the vital role the railroad played in Orange's development. Independent Filmmakers Heading to Orange for Texas Film Belt Project Sept. 19
The 2nd Annual Texas Film Belt Project brings 26 independent films to the Jeff Hattman Center for the Performing Arts at 3330 Bowling Lane on Saturday, Sept. 19. Presented by Barefoot on the Bayou Film Group, the event features feature films, short narratives, documentaries, music videos, and a junior division — which tripled in size this year. Doors open at 9 a.m., with independent films screening from noon through an 8 p.m. awards ceremony. New this year: a $500 cash grant to a school film department for equipment, plus the existing $1,000 prize for the best film shot in Orange County. Tickets are $20 at the door or at zeffy.com.
