Local Football Teams Stay Undefeated After Week Two

West Orange-Stark, Orangefield, and Little Cypress-Mauriceville all improved to 2-0 Friday night, keeping three Orange County squads unbeaten through the first two weeks of the season. WOS got its revenge on Nederland after last season's 14-6 loss, Orangefield won the Bayou Bowl rivalry game at Bridge City, and LCM topped Jasper in a Homecoming victory. Friday night was a double celebration at Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School as Basar Nabil and Allie Broussard were crowned Homecoming King and Queen during the Bears' Week 2 win over Jasper. The victory pushed LCM to 2-0 on the season. Read More

Stark Museum of Art Presents Free Art Crime Lecture Sept. 19

The Stark Museum of Art is hosting a free lecture and book signing with Dr. Laura Evans on Saturday, September 19, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Drawing on her book "The Atlas of Art Crime: Thefts, Vandalism, and Forgeries," Dr. Evans will share vivid stories of stolen masterpieces, bold imposters, and unforgettable museum mishaps in a talk titled "Home on the Range: American Stories of Art Crime."
