Orange City Council Adopts New Property
Tax Rate

The Orange City Council gave final approval Tuesday to a new property tax rate of $0.866 per $100 of property valuation for 2026. While the overall rate is effectively lower than last year by about 1.99%, rising property values mean the average homeowner will still see a modest increase — about $5.87 more on a $100,000 home. The rate is made up of a maintenance and operations portion of $0.783164 and a debt service rate of $0.082836, applied to property values set by the Orange County Appraisal District as of January 1, 2026.
