Free Color Analysis Talk Coming to Stark Museum of Art
The Stark Museum of Art is hosting a free, in-person presentation on personal color analysis led by Emily Lopez, founder of Beyoutiful Color Analysis in Beaumont. Through live demonstration and audience participation, guests will explore color theory, learn why certain colors enhance natural features, and discover the unique role of orange in seasonal color palettes. The talk connects art, science, and self-expression in a fresh, interactive way. The event is held in the Walter G. Riedel III Education Center at Stark Museum, 712 Green Ave. in Orange. Rainbow Bridge Marks 88 Years as a Southeast Texas Landmark
On September 8, 1938, the bridge spanning the Neches River between Port Arthur and Orange County was officially dedicated — and 88 years later, it remains one of the region's most iconic structures. Originally called the Port Arthur-Orange Bridge, it replaced the Dryden Ferry and was designed with a 176-foot vertical clearance to allow large ships to pass on the Neches River. When completed, it was the most elevated highway bridge over tidal waters in the world, stretching more than 7,700 feet and costing approximately $2.75 million. An estimated 20,000 people attended the dedication. The name "Rainbow Bridge" wasn't adopted until 1957, when a Lions Club naming contest settled it. Read More
