Texas Launching New Online System for Handgun License Applications Oct. 1

Texas gun owners who hold or are applying for a License to Carry will want to take note: the Texas Department of Public Safety is launching a new digital platform called RSD Connect on October 1. The new system will handle handgun license applications, renewals, and status checks online. It represents a significant modernization of how Texans manage their LTC transactions. Orange Public Library Kicks Off Fall Storytime Series Wednesday

The Orange Public Library is launching its fall Storytime series this Wednesday, September 16, with sessions continuing every Wednesday morning through December 16. The free program includes three back-to-back offerings: Early Literacy (10:15–10:45 a.m.), Lapsit (11:00–11:20 a.m.), and Interactive Playtime (11:25–11:55 a.m.). Bridge City ISD Board of Trustees Named 2026 Region 5 Honor Board of the Year

The Bridge City ISD Board of Trustees received a major honor this week, being officially recognized as the 2026 Region 5 Honor Board of the Year during a special awards ceremony. Collectively, the board's trustees bring more than 126 years of school board experience to the district — a remarkable show of long-term dedication to students, staff, and the Bridge City community.
