Bridge City High School Performing Arts Center Now Under Construction
An exciting project is taking shape in Bridge City — a brand-new Performing Arts Center is under construction at Bridge City High School. BC residents approved a bond in 2025, with the groundbreaking held in June. The facility will be built behind the high school, designed by Claycomb and Associates. While a completion date hasn't been announced, architectural renderings show a beautiful new space that will serve students and the community for years to come. Read More
Orange County 4-H Pecan Fundraiser — Order Deadline Is October 2
The holiday season is right around the corner and the Orange County 4-H is kicking things off with their annual Pecan Fundraiser! Available items include pecan halves and pieces, peanuts, specialty nuts, samplers, gift baskets, and specialty mixes. If you want your order in time for Thanksgiving, the deadline is October 2 — just days away! The Christmas order deadline is November 2. Learn to Make Sausage from Scratch This December
If you've ever wanted to make your own sausage, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension of Orange County has you covered! A hands-on Sausage Making Class is scheduled for Saturday, December 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Extension office at 11475 FM 1442 in Orange. Participants will cover food safety, meat processing techniques, seasoning, stuffing, and proper cooking methods — plus enjoy samples of what they make. The class is for adults 18 and older and costs $50 per person. Space is limited, so call the Extension office at 409-882-7010 to register. Read More
