Quality, Tested CBD – and Why It Matters
CBD is increasingly popular, with hundreds of products designed to provide everything from better sleep to relief and recovery to increased focus. Once you’ve figured out which CBD formula is right for you, it’s important to be able to trust that what’s in the bottle or jar matches what’s on the label.
This is where third-party testing comes in. Independent labs test CBD products, verifying the cannabinoid content matches what’s on the label and screening for the presence of heavy metals, pesticides, and other contaminants.
Unlike some companies that cut corners, CBDistillery ensures that every single batch of their CBD products are tested by an accredited lab. And these test results are posted on their website, so you can see them before you place your order.
CBDistillery is so sure you’ll like their products, they’re offering a special deal: save 50% on orders of $75 or more with code NEWS50!

Orange Community Players Opens "Misery" Tonight

Live theater comes to Orange this weekend as Orange Community Players presents Misery, the psychological thriller based on Stephen King's chilling novel. The production opens tonight for six performances across two weekends, directed by Cydney and Rico Vásquez. The stage adaptation follows the obsessive "number one fan" Annie Wilkes and her captive, novelist Paul Sheldon, in an edge-of-your-seat story that promises to keep audiences gripping their armrests. Content warnings: simulated violence and explicit language. Tickets are available now — don't miss your chance to experience live community theater at its most gripping. Read More

Lamar State College Orange Hits 8,000 Students — A New All-Time Record

Big news for higher education in Orange County: Lamar State College Orange has surpassed 8,000 students for the first time in the college's history, setting a new all-time enrollment record for Fall 2026. That's a 40% increase over Fall 2025's then-record 5,841 students — and a staggering 250% increase over Fall 2021, when just 2,353 students were enrolled. LSCO President Dr. Wendy Elmore credited faculty, staff, and the students themselves: "8,000 is so much more than a number. Each of those students represents a life being changed through higher education." Growth was driven by dual credit partnerships with regional school districts, the Texas State University Gateway Partnership, and expanded statewide programs. Fall II courses begin October 26 for anyone still looking to join. Read More
