Rocky Horror Comes to Orange —
and It’s For a Good Cause

Orange Community Players and local nonprofit Extreme Giving are teaming up to bring a fully staged production of The Rocky Horror Show to the Jeff Hattman Center for the Performing Arts, 3330 Bowling Lane in Orange. This is not a shadow cast — it’s a live theatrical production featuring a talented local cast, full costumes, and all the musical numbers that have made Rocky Horror a cult classic for over 50 years. The show runs two weekends, with showtimes on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7:37 p.m., a “Midnight Madness” late show Saturday, Oct. 31 at 11:57 p.m., and performances on Friday, Nov. 6 and Saturday, Nov. 7 at 7:37 p.m. All proceeds support Extreme Giving’s charitable mission in the community.

Poe, Murder, and a Victorian Mansion — What’s Not to Love?

The W.H. Stark House is hosting a spooky, one-of-a-kind evening just in time for Halloween. An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe takes place Thursday, October 29, with free timed entry slots from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the historic Victorian mansion in downtown Orange. Guests will explore Poe’s world through the lens of the Stark family’s own collection — Miriam Stark actually owned a rare edition of Poe’s work, now at UT Austin. The experience culminates in the Tower Room with a staged reading of “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Raven” in collaboration with Southeast Texas Stages. Slots are limited — register free at whstarkhouse.org/edgar-allan-poe.
