Dare to Enter: OCP Jr. Board’s Haunted Theater Is Back for Year Two

Orange Community Players’ Jr. Board is bringing the scares to 3330 Bowling Lane in Orange for the 2nd Annual Haunted Theater — and they promise you won’t make it through unscathed. Step inside the Jeff Hattman Center on October 23 and 24 from 6–9 p.m. for a night of spooky surprises, creepy encounters, and full-on Halloween fright. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 17 and under. It’s the perfect way to kick off Halloween weekend — if you’ve got the nerve.

’80s Nostalgia Is Coming to the Lutcher — and It Looks Delicious

Mystic Pizza: A New Musical brings the beloved ’80s film back to life on the Lutcher Theater stage on Thursday, November 19 at 7 p.m. Follow best friends Kat, Daisy and Jojo as they navigate friendship, romance, and life at a small-town pizza joint — all set to a chart-topping soundtrack including “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Hold On,” and “Manic Monday.” Critics are already calling it a “surefire hit” with “one show-stopping dance sequence after another.” Tickets run $63–$113 (all fees included) and are recommended for ages 10+.

Date Night at the Stark Museum — Wine, Live Music, and Free Art

The Stark Museum of Art is hosting a free Date Night at the Museum on Friday, November 6, from 5–7 p.m. — and it’s the perfect excuse for a night out. The evening features live music by David Justin and Mariah Ammons, complimentary bites and beverages from Free State Cellars Winery, and a live artist demonstration by guest artist Calvin Carter, followed by a gallery discussion and Q&A at 6 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the museum announces the College Juried Art Awards, celebrating original works from college and university students across Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana. The exhibition runs through December 19. Admission and all activities are free.
