I Almost Threw Out My Keurig. It Wasn't Broken.
Every cup from my Keurig started tasting weak, flat, stale — so I unplugged it and stuck it in a closet. Then I learned the dirty secret of grocery store K-Cups: by the time a pod reaches your kitchen, it's usually spent months going from factory to warehouse to truck to shelf. The flavor oils are long gone. Some brands even over-roast to hide it.
The fix wasn't a new machine. It was fresh pods from Angelino's, a family-owned L.A. roastery that roasts, packs, and ships within 3–5 days — straight to your door, from 39¢ a cup. Over 1,000,000 happy customers. 50+ flavors, no subscription required, and 15% off your first order, applied automatically at checkout.

OC Shoppers Are Tightening Their Belts — And Local Budgets Are Feeling It
Orange County residents are spending less locally, and the numbers tell the story. Sales tax collections across Orange County cities are flat or down in 2026 — even as inflation runs at 3.7 percent for the year. The city of Orange is down roughly $230,000 compared to the same period last year. West Orange saw August back-to-school sales drop $19,200 year-over-year. Bridge City is the lone bright spot, running about 9.8 percent ahead of last year — the only city in the county keeping pace with inflation. The slowdown matters because cities depend on sales tax revenue to pay employees and fund services like police and road repairs.
The Perfect Friday Night Out Is Right Here in Orange — Date Night at the Stark Museum

The Stark Museum of Art is hosting Date Night at the Museum on Friday, November 6, from 5–7 PM — a free after-hours evening perfect for a date, a friend night out, or anyone who loves art and good company. The event celebrates the opening of the 2026 College Juried Art Exhibition, featuring live music by David Justin and Mariah Ammons, complimentary bites and beverages from Free State Cellars, and a live artist demonstration by Bridge City’s own Calvin Carter — followed by a discussion and Q&A at 6 PM and the College Juried Awards at 6:30 PM. Admission is FREE. The museum is at 712 Green Ave. in Orange.
West Orange’s Most Beautiful Spots Just Got Official Recognition

Keep West Orange Beautiful has announced the winners of its very first biannual Beautification Awards — and the community has some standout places worth celebrating. The Business Category Winner is MVP Auto Detail at 623 Dayton, owned and operated by Victor and Melissa Morales. The Residential Category Winner is the stunning home at 2915 Hilltop — a house originally built in 1904 and beautifully renovated by owners Scott and Amy Wedekind. Congratulations to both winners for making West Orange a more beautiful place to live. The next awards event will be in May 2027.
